Fellowes on the Move | Work Better Feel Better with Viking

Hey Sweeties,

Over the last couple of months, my body and mind have been screaming out for a break, for some proper me-time to work on some self-care. While I am still working on finding those opportunities to get away and take some time-out, an email popped into my inbox a few weeks ago inviting me to the #Fellowesonthemove event with Viking. This event was going to focus on how to have a healthy work environment by showing me some easy desk-based exercises; a smoothie making workshop, massage treatments; and introducing the Fellowes Sit-Stand desk. For me, it was a perfect excuse to take an afternoon off work.

An Evening at the Deliciously Ella Supper Club at The Kitchen Counter

Hey, Sweeties,

If you have been coming around here for a while, you will likely be aware that I am a big fan of Deliciously Ella aka. Ella Mills nee Woodward; I have all three of her recipe books and I was even lucky enough to meet her at a signing early last year (here). Now with three delis to her name, I have been super keen to find the opportunity to visit one of them and continue fangirling. Fortunately for me, my bestest best pal, Kate, knew this, so for my 30th birthday she purchased us tickets to attend a supper club at The Kitchen Counter, Ella’s deli in Herne Hill, with an overnight stay at the nearby Half Moon pub and hotel (another blog post on this to follow).

On arrival to The Kitchen Counter, which is located underneath one of the arches a short walk from the tube station, with the train line overhead; there were two long tables with benches laid up ready for diners. As we were a little bit late arriving, we took the last two places near the entrance of the deli, which suited us fine.

Annabelle Round Tortoise Sunglasses | GlassesShop

Hey Sweeties,

I acknowledge that for those of us here in the UK summer left us a couple of weeks ago, so talking to you today about my new pair of sunglasses is probably not the best timing. But! A new pair of sunnies is a great fashion accessory all year round. As we start replacing t-shirts with jumpers, and sandals for ankle boots, the one consistent across the seasons can be sunglasses because even though it may longer be hot outside, it will still be sunny (sometimes).

Nature’s Free Fruit – Four Reasons Why I Love Blackberries

Hey Sweeties,

We have been so fortunate this year in the UK, particularly in the south-east (I can’t speak for everywhere else) that we have enjoyed a super early, super bumper crop of blackberries. As spring turns into summer, I start noticing the hedges of bramble bushes begin to flower and then form into reddy-pink fruit; as soon as the blackberries ripen you can be sure I’m clearing space in my freezer, grabbing tubs and heading on out to strip all the local bushes. What’s even better this year, is that I managed to grow my own blackberry bush in my garden and train it up the back fence, and it has been such a pleasure watching blackberries form and ripen, before picking.
