How to add a pop of pink with a pair of black trousers to liven up a work outfit

Weekly workwear highlight

How to add a pop of pink or any bright colour to a work outfit is much easier to achieve than some might think.  I really love the look I am sharing with you this week, the trousers have become such a work staple as have the shoes, but this Ben Sherman shirt I can’t believe I haven’t worn sooner!

I don’t even remember getting this pink shirt to be honest but I know I have had it a fair while, and I mean probably years and yet never worn it. I think the combination of black, pink and grey go really well together, looks effortless, and overall a great combination. What do you think?

Sometimes I think it’s so easy to just wear black at work as it’s formal, simple and pretty much looks good on everyone whether it be a dress, a suit or even trousers.

It’s without a doubt though that a good pair of black trousers are a staple item for any work wardrobe. But I do think people need to remember that black pairs well with anything, particularly other colours such as a pop of pink.

The pink shirt in this look adds that element of fun and vibrancy, while the black and grey keep it formal and work appropriate.

What I’m wearing

Shirt: Ben Sherman

Cardigan: H&M

Trousers: River Island

Shoes: Morgan
