Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Serum Review

A couple of weeks ago in a recent haul post (here), I discussed my want to integrate a serum into my routine hence why I purchased the one from Elizabeth Arden. However, typically I then see that Instyle magazine were giving away a free Clinique smart custom-repair serum sample in their May issue, which I snapped up quickly.

My expertise on serum is pretty slim, I can’t go into huge detail like some other Beauty Bloggers can but I have definitely noticed a difference since using it; my skin feels smoother and dare I say tighter? Of course I am still too young to suffer or even be concerned with eliminating wrinkles, but going forward, this serum would definitely be on the list to fight the lines.

I think this product retails at £48 which as you can expect makes me gasp, but I don’t think for Clinique or for a quality serum this is unreasonable. However, as I still have other serums to try, I can’t commit to this one at this time but one day I will have to bite the bullet and properly invest in some high end skin care.

Asides from the serum from Elizabeth Arden, I also have a sample of Caudalie Paris Vinoperfect Serum to trial that arrived in the Look Fantastic June Beauty Box (here) so if I get on with it I’ll let you know on here soon! Ultimately though, now that I have experienced the impact a serum can have my skin and the ease in which it can integrate into my skincare routine, it’s here to stay.

Can you guys recommend any great serums?

Until next time x

I tried a sample of this serum myself a few weeks back but unfortunately didn’t get too many results from it. The best serum I’ve used so far has got to be Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair 🙂 xx

Yes I have heard great things about the Estee Lauder one too! As I said with the Clinique sample, I have others still to try before I find one I feel comfortable enough to commit too 🙂
