Hey Sweeties,
In this post I thought it would be fun to talk through my favourite shower gels with you. For me, I like something that smells good, and a formula that allows the product to froth up on contact with water so you get a really soapy experience in the shower.
I have tried un-scented shower gels before and I just cannot get on with them although I totally appreciate that some people both don’t like scented products, and also whose skin is too sensitive for them.
Showers Gels from The Body Shop
The Body Shop create some of not only the best, but also some of my favourite shower gels. I have purchased and repurchased the Moringa scented shower gel for a good couple of years now, having first discovered it in a sample bottle.
I wrote about my first proper The Body Shop Haul back in 2014.
As scents go, the limited edition Pinita Colada range from The Body Shop is up there now with one of the best, particularly if you’re after something that captures the tropics in a bottle; I definitely need to stock up before the range disappears from stores.
I’m also still using the Polynesian Island Tiare shower gel, again from The Body Shop, which I also reviewed recently, and it has become a firm summer favourite.
Sweet Scented Shower Gels
I find that for an everyday shower gel, particularly in the mornings when I get up and ready for work, I don’t like anything too sweet smelling. However, if on a weekend or a week night if I am washing my hair, I often want to reach for something sweeter.
A long term favourite has been Snow Fairy from Lush, which I carefully ration throughout the year so I don’t run out before it gets released as part of Lush’s routine Christmas collection.
In recent months I have discovered the vanilla and raspberry scented shower gel from Original Source, which is just divine to use; and most recently, I have picked up and fallen in love with the marsh mallow scent from Imperial Leather.
What are your favourite shower gels? What are you preferred scents and brands?
Until next time x
I have read lots and lots of articles on this subject and yours really stands out thank you.
