My First Feelunique.com Haul -Burts Bees, COLAB, Yes To & Rimmel

Feelunique.com haul

Hey Sweeties,

Last week while having a particularly stressful afternoon I found myself browsing Feelunique.com and before I knew it, I had a small haul in my online basket! This is the first time I have purchased from the site and I was definitely on more of a skincare search than I was make-up… for that I always prefer to buy in store. But with beauty, although a girl can never have enough… the products I am seeking at the moment are a little more high end and therefore I am reserving for my Christmas list and January when I do my next big blowout. For skincare, I feel I am really lacking in both knowledge and products, particularly as we’re heading into the colder months of the year -now is the time to ensure my face and body are well prepared and taken care of, so this is the focus of my shopping (haulin’) and my reading at the moment!

I am an avid watcher of YouTube and subscribe to many of the popular beauty channels such as; Vivianna Does Makeup, Lily Pebbles, In the Frow, Zoella, Tanya Burr etc. etc. and when I see them use various cleansers and things I scribble down the names only to find that when I research them, they cost about £40+ -basically way over my price range! I have no doubt those products are the best on the market but right now, they are just not an option for me to purchase. So, like many of my hauls and beauty purchases I have made so far this year, I am finding a lot of the products myself pretty much from scratch, which is no bad thing but sometimes you do miss that big sisterly advice and a gentle shove in the right direction.

FYI I will do a review of each of the products individually as well as a broader post on cleansers and skincare once I have had a good chance to try them out but for now, here is a closer look at what I purchased:

Feelunique.com

I admit I have hardly gone wild but cleansers were my focus and the other two items were thrown in for good measure!

Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser (with Clary sage), £8.95 170g:

I have been keen to try out more of the Burt’s Bees range following being a loyal user of their lip balm which I just love. In my recent reading, I have come to the conclusion that my skin is between normal and sensitive. I do suffer occasionally with an oily T-zone and the odd breakout but nothing I would say that makes my skin routinely oily, combination, dry etc. The only product I use at the moment specifically advised for those with oily/combination skin is the Seaweed clarifying night treatment from my recent The Body Shop haul which, since using I really have noticed a difference.

The Burt’s Bees cleanser came up in my search on Feelunique following the input of my skin type. Giving this cleanser a go was a no brainer to me to be honest.

Yes to Carrots Exfoliating Cleanser, £7.99 110ml:

I have taken a chance on this product solely based on that the Yes To Carrots/Cucumber/Blueberries brand and product ranges have been thrown about recently by various YouTubers and seeing as this didn’t cost the earth, I thought I would see if I agree with the hype. Again, I went with Yes To Carrots over the others following reading the skin type each should be used with. Watch this space!

COLAB Dry Shampoo in London/Classic Fragrance £3.50 200ml:

This was an impulse buy, I won’t lie to you. The COLAB range was recently launched by A Model Recommends/Ruth Crilly so naturally I am intrigued, particularly as one of it’s biggest selling features is that it doesn’t leave that horrible white powder in your hair following application traditional to many dry shampoos. I went with the London fragrance as I have heard this has become a favourite with many so figured I would see if I agree.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush Balm in 700 Not an Illusion £5.99:

Of course I couldn’t resist a sneaky beauty purchase but in my defence, I did essentially get this for free as I had a code for the site allowing me £5.00 off if I spent £25 or more. As you know, I LOVE these products (see my last favourites post) so now I have four of the range in my collection!

Rimmel Colour Rush Balm

I am really interested to know if any of you guys have tried any of the above yet and also, do any of you use a reasonably priced but brilliant serum? The big thing in the beauty sphere right now is all about the base (to your make-up) and serum is an essential (I have heard) but again, I am a bit clueless with which brand to reach for and a stickler to my budget. So please, do share any of your recommendations, I am all ears!

Until next time x
