Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush & Contour Palette in Golden Sugar | Review

I love this Makeup Revolution ultra blush and contour palette, I am going to put this out there straight away. Since purchasing it a couple of weeks ago (here) I have reached for it pretty much every day, it’s that good.

This palette contains eight colours -a mixture of tones that are either a merge of shades (like marble) or baked to contour, highlight and blush your face. Aesthetically, this palette is very pleasing to the eye and I think the packaging sets it off nicely; I love the big mirror in the inside of the lid.

These are the colours/shades I use the most from the palette -(top left) highlighter, (middle/2nd along top row) blusher, and the bronzer on the lower right of the palette.

The bronzer is fantastic and has jumped to first place in my everyday makeup! Applied with the Real Techniques sculpting brush (taken from the limited edition sculpting set), I take the product into the hollow of my cheekbones, lower jaw line and temples to mark out where I would like to contour and provide definition, and then I blend out with a softer brush.

You can of course apply it more softly across the face for some all over colour without contouring… but when you see how effective it is, I defy you to not to use this product to sculpt out your features. I also think this product is a tad too dark for an all over bronzing but each to their own on that one.

The highlighter and the blusher have a gorgeous sheen to them which for the summer adds a delicious bit of light to the face, the highlighter particularly.

This is the first product I have bought from Makeup Revolution and I am very impressed; I still can’t believe this palette only cost me £6! Have you guys tried anything from this range?

Until next time x
