I have another new product from Dr Botanicals to show you that I think you are going to LOVE! You’ll remember that not too long ago I reviewed the Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil that I still adore using, and staying with the Moroccan Rose theme today I have the pleasure of showing you the new Moroccan Rose & Shea Butter Body Cream*.
Shea body butter: the packaging
If I’m honest, I’m not blown away by the packaging but I like it’s simplicity; a glass jar with a firm, screw on lid is always a winner though. The cardboard outer packaging is also very simple, particularly for a product in luxury skincare. To my knowledge it’s all recyclable which is the main thing.
The Formula
The Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose & Shea Butter Body Cream is delicately formulated with a unique blend of botanical actives to keep the skin supple, soft and hydrated. Nutrient and vitamin-rich natural actives work in synergy to firm, smooth and tone the skin – the perfect way to love your skin this Valentines!
To the touch, the Moroccan Rose & Shea butter body cream is beautifully thick and creamy, and lightly scented so it’s not overpowering at all. It absorbs into the skin nicely without feeling greasy, and keeps skin hydrated.
I can be quite lazy when it comes to body butters, but it’s more me not giving myself enough pamper time, than it is motivation to use body butters. This one from Dr Botanicals though really is beautiful and for those special occasions I think it’s perfect.
In the formula, the ingredients are:
1) Moroccan Rose Oil which is rich in Omegas 3 and 6 to firm and hydrate the skin.
2) Shea Butter contains high levels of Vitamins A, F and E which protects, soothes and rejuvenates the skin, leaving it soft and hydrated.
3) Apricot Kernel Oil is a fantastic source of Vitamins A and E, rich in essential fatty acids, which aim to deeply moisturise and nourish the skin.
4) Ximenia Seed Oil soothes and nourishes dry, sensitive and chapped skin.
Vegan certified, Dr Botanicals products are made only of natural ingredients. All products are paraben and harmful preservative free.
Dr Botanicals products are expensive but if you like luxury skincare and you are wanting to treat yourself, I do heartily recommend the brand who are cruelty-free and registered with PETA.
Until next time x
