A little while ago, and indeed every now and again, Boots will do a great deal on Sleek products and in this situation it was two for £12, so I rightly took the opportunity to snap up the limited edition Sleek Goodnight Sweetheart eyeshadow palette.
I own several Sleek i-Divine palettes and other products, most recently I reviewed the Matte Me Liquid Lipsticks in Velvet Slipper and Birthday Suit which have quickly become firm favourites and will no doubt make it into my 2016 Favourites post (spoiler!).
Starting with the packaging, Sleek haven’t dropped their standards -I love the cardboard sleeve featuring a scene reminiscent of a romantic summers evening, giving an indication that the palette is going to feature warm pink and purple tones, with some shimmer… and that’s exactly what’s inside! I normally wouldn’t go for something with more shimmer tones than matte, but this is such a pretty palette and it encourages you to create really pretty looks.
As I think I mention time and time again when I review Sleek products (apologies for being so repeatitive), but the quality and pigment of their ranges are excellent and just cannot be faulted. While to begin with their eyeshadow palettes were my entry into makeup and I make no secret of using more expensive eye shadow products and palettes now, I can tell that the Sleek Goodnight Sweetheart palette will be one I will continue to use fairly consistently; it’s a palette that will easily take you from day to night.
With the Christmas period soon upon us, although this was a summer release, it’s perfect for the festive season and why I felt it fitting to review on the blog now. In a couple of weeks, I’ll create a look perfect for a Christmas party using a blend of my favourite shades from the palette.
