So here we are, the final day of blogmas -how fast did that go eh?
Have I enjoyed blogmas this year? Well yes and no. I had the whole schedule of content ready to go at the beginning of the month, and I managed to get a lot of the photography I needed early on as well as some of the posts written… but I still ended up missing a day and some of my ideas for posts, didn’t quite go into fruition. That being said, I am pleased with the content I did manage to produce and it’s been amazing to see more people following; I haven’t quite hit my follower goals, but I’m close.
Do I think blogmas is something to do again? I mean, a lot can happen between now and next December but at this moment in time, I think not… but I won’t be alone. Asides from managing to watch Zoella’s vlogs during my lunchtime, all my spare time otherwise has been either at work, or spent preparing my own content. If we’re all participating in blogmas, it’s totally understandable as to why people just haven’t had the time to consume other peoples content; that’s a lot of work for not a huge amount of return. So we’ll see.
So all that’s left for me to say my Sweeties is this – I wish you and your families, a very Merry Christmas.
Until next time x
P.S. Remember my Christmas/3rd Blogaversary giveaway is still happening until the 31st -to see what’s included and to enter, click here.
I’ve got to be honest, I generally don’t buy multi-palettes, particularly from the high street, but following seeing some good reviews of the Rimmel London Sculpting palette, I bought one for myself… quite out of character/purchasing habits but sometimes you do these things! I actually purchased this sculpting palette over the summer and used it throughout, and even now we’re in (let’s be honest) winter, it’s still a favourite.
As packaging goes, this is a pretty neat, stylish and compact little product; I love the (rose) gold design to the lid of the casing and that each section of the sculpting palette is at a slant, rather than squared off. Aesthetically, it is very pleasing to the eye! If it’s not obvious from the photos, the sculpting palette contains: a highlight illuminator, a bronzer, and a blush.
In the image above, I’ll admit I’ve firmly pressed my fingers into the sculpting palette to get a good swatch of the highlight, bronzer and blush… but the pigment of each is actually incredible and need very little effort to see. The first time I dabbed my contour brush into the bronzer to sculpt out my cheeks, I drew a big brown line on my face which to be honest shocked me. However, it blends out beautifully so if you’re someone that likes a strong contour, you’ll love this! See below-
Before blending (I have all three products on here)
All three blended.
What I particularly love about this sculpting palette, is how glowy it makes your skin, regardless if it’s summer or winter, day or night; each of the products has the slightest of shimmer that just works with skin beautifully.
Do you have a favourite sculpting palette?

I don’t know about you, but I have sensed a real want for everyone to get festive this year. Maybe I have just channelled into this more this year in my effort to be more enthusiastic about Christmas (see my post, why so anti?), but November seems to have taken ages to get through before people can get the Christmas bedding on, decorations out and Christmas tunes on. Although things can’t truly kick off until December, I have still been busily pinning images for some festive inspiration to a dedicated Pinterest board.
I’ll be totally honest with you, I love having a Christmas tree, but it’s such a faff to get out, assemble and put away again a few weeks later –this isn’t me being Scrooge like, it is a faff. However, this year (and for those foreseeable), I can’t get my tree out, even if I wanted to. Why? Well unfortunately my beautiful bunny Lola (remember her here), sadly passed away earlier this year and despite that event completely breaking my heart, I did take delivery of a new member of the family over the summer. She –Winifred (@bunny_wini)- while still an indoor bunny, will be a lot bigger than Lola and therefore I needed to increase the size of the cage. Therefore, there is now simply not enough room for a tree… and let’s be honest, I’m not sure I trust Wini around one anyway, ha! So, I need to look for other ways to bring Christmas into my home and Pinterest is the perfect starting point.
Here are some of my favourite ideas from Pinterest so far –

Happy December and Blogmas 2016!! … this month also marks my blog’s third birthday and quite rightly, it’s an opportunity for multiple celebration. Here’s what’s going on for Blogmas 2016 for you guys –
A post, an Insta and Snaps everyday until the 24th Day! Yes my lovelies, we’re taking things up a notch around here as it’s time there were more of you on board for the journey and to do that, I need to share more content and provide more opportunities for engagement. It’s been my goal for over a year to hit 500 followers and I’m still not there so we need to do something about that once and for all. If you’re not already, please follow me on Bloglovin’ and/or subscribe directly so you receive my new posts straight to your inbox -see the right hand side of this page for the buttons.
I haven’t got the editing skills or the software as yet for video… but I can still create video and I think a lot of us bloggers have the want to do video, but lack the confidence to be in front of the camera rather than behind it. So it’s time to utilise Snapchat for lots of 10 second bursts of chat! Add me -Claireysweetie.
And finally, to reward you for being so amazing, another Giveaway! I’ve been saving up a few beauty bits to create a new bag of goodies for one lucky follower to win.
