My Favourite Easy Summer Hairstyles that you can try too!

Hey Sweeties,

I have no doubt I am not alone here in saying that I regularly find myself in hair ruts; for years I had super long hair that my mum French plaited every.single.day for school until I think year 10 when I got it all lopped off. Since then the length has wavered but I do now generally keep it shoulder length, favouring the long bob, which not only suits me, but also is appropriate to my lifestyle and age. I often miss having long hair but as soon as I find myself throwing it up daily in a messy bun, I know it is time for another chop because there is no point having lovely long hair if it’s not going to be properly appreciated.

In recent years, I have also got a lot better at hair care, ensuring I am not only using shampoo and conditioner (which I have never not done to be honest), but incorporating oils, heat protection and masks when necessary. This just ensures that my hair is well cared for and always looking its best. As far as shampoo goes, I think there are many good quality, affordable ones on the high street, but from time to time I like to use a good quality conditioner to make my hair super silky soft; I have a few on my list that I would like to try such as this L’Occitane conditioner.

Clean hair makes for a happy Claire!

Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo for Dark Tones | Beauty Review

Hey Sweeties,

I was recently sent this Moroccanoil dry shampoo* to review from Bath & Unwind, a site dedicated to sourcing products from around the world that are not only proven to work, but are kind to you in the process.

I don’t know about you, Sweeties, but I am one of those people notorious for looking at my hair in the morning and saying to myself that I’ll wash it that evening, but come the evening, I end up forgetting. Since having shorter hair, it is possible for me to wash and dry my hair before work, but this fundamentally means I need to get up earlier and quite frankly I relish every last minute I can of sleep before I have to get up. I love putting my hair up in a top knot which is my classic end of the week look (need I explain why), but leaving my hair down is far better for the health and look of my hair and so for the mornings I look at my hair and need to spritz some life into it, dry shampoo is my saviour.

Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo

This Moroccanoil dry shampoo is available for both dark and light tones, and works in the same way any other dry shampoos do (shake well, spray lightly 15-20cm away from dry roots, massage into scalp etc.). What is different about this dry shampoo to others is that this is an ultra fine spray enriched with argan oil, which claims to leave hair feeling clean, soft and silky.

As someone that has tried a fair few dry shampoos, I have got to admit this Moroccanoil product has probably trumped everything I’ve tried to date and I don’t say things like that lightly. The formula really is brilliant and I’ve been so impressed with this product because I don’t need a lot to notice its effects. Other dry shampoos often take a lot of (heavy) spraying to revitalise my thick locks, but this one seems to take a couple of light spritzes to do the job and buy me another day or so before I need to hit the shower.
