Dr Botanicals Cocoa Noir Natures Own Light Facial Moisturiser

Hey Sweeties,

I am bringing you another product from one of my favourite luxury vegan skincare brands, Dr Botanicals. Today I want to introduce you to the Cocoa Noir Natures Own Light Facial Moisturiser*. Let’s go!

Dr Botanicals Cocoa Noir Natures Own Light Facial Moisturiser

Light facial Moisturiser Dr Botanicals

“The Cocoa Noir Nature’s Own Light Facial Moisturiser is formulated to soothe and rejuvenate the skin by keeping it hydrated, nourished and protected, for a brighter, more radiant complexion. Vegan certified Dr Botanicals products, are made only of natural ingredients.”

The Packaging

Similar to the Moroccan Rose and Shea butter body cream  and the Coconut oil body rejuvenating exfoliating bar I tried recently from Dr Botanicals, I really like the packaging for this light facial moisturiser. It’s a cute but solid little glass jar that not only looks good on my bathroom shelf, but also allows for easy access to the product. I also like the simple brown box that protects the jar.

The Formula

As described on the jar, this is a light facial moisturiser and it truly is gorgeous – wonderfully light and absorbs quickly, leaving my face feeling plump and hydrated. The product also smells delicious! Ingredients include seabuckthorn fruit oil, Shea butter, and alpine rose, all of which combine to hydrate, calm sensitive skin, soothe and rejuvenate, protect against environmental stress and improve complexion brightness.

As with many products from Dr Botanicals, the price tag of their products often makes me squeal a little and this light facial moisturiser is £84.99. While I absolutely love using it, to part with such a sum I would want more than 50ml in return. However, if you keep an eye on the Dr Botanicals website, their sales are worth utilising for those bargain discounts on your favourite products.

Pure Potions Skin Salvation – Three Products to help with Dry Skin Suitable for all the Family

Hey Sweeties,

I was recently very kindly sent three products from the Pure Potions Skin Salvation range* which includes an ointment, a moisturising cream, and a hand cream to try out and review for you guys. The products are all cruelty free and 100% natural. However, owing to the ointment containing beeswax in its formula, only the moisturising cream and hand cream are vegan.

Pure Potions Skin Salvation

I love how the products arrived all nicely packaged up.

Pure Potions Skin Salvation

Pure Potions Skin Salvation Intensive Moisturising Ointment

This a deep moisturiser, also suitable for people with dry, itchy skin and people prone to eczema. Rich, deeply moisturising and restorative. Skin Salvation forms a semi-occlusive barrier which protects the skin from external irritants.

The Pure Potions Skin Salvation Moisturising Ointment is not only an essential product for sufferers of dry skin, but its also one of those products with multiple uses. Here are some examples –

Cuticle balm; sore noses; eye make-up remover; nappy balm; cracked heels; itchy patches; lip balm; post shaving/waxing… and the list goes on.

I have so far just used this ointment on my lips and it makes them beautifully soft instantly; it’s a great product to apply before bed so it can really do its magic overnight, and I think it’ll be a godsend over the colder months when lips chap and dry out. This product is very much like Vaseline.

Pure Potions Skin Salvation Daily Moisturising Cream & Intensive Hand Cream

These two products, which are arguably easier to use on the basis that its uses are clearer (face, body, hands), contain all the nourishing benefits of the Pure Potions Skin Salvation Moisturising Ointment.

I first started trying the Daily Moisturising Cream on my face but to be honest, it was okay but I have other products that are nicer to use on that area. For arms, body, legs, feet… the moisturiser does the job fine.

The Intensive Hand Cream is easy to apply, quick to absorb and leaves hands feeling fresh and nourished. There’s nothing more annoying than a hand cream that takes forever to absorb and leaves hands feeling sticky, this one from Pure Potions is uncomplicated and does the job, ideal for households and/or on your desk.

All three of these products, while nothing to really rave about if I am honest, are the sort of products essential to the family cupboard of useful things; everyone has a cupboard or a draw with plasters, medication, lotions etc. and owing to the nature of this moisturiser, hand cream and ointment, these are ideal to have in that very location, for times of need, particularly if you have a family.
