A couple of days ago it was my 29th birthday and I was a very lucky girl this year with some of the gifts I received. In the same way other bloggers and YouTubers create these posts, they are not there to brag, but more to share with you as friends, what we got, and the same rule applies now. I was also treated to tickets to see Guys & Dolls in the West End which is currently starring Rebel Wilson; the show was brilliant and she was fabulous!
Every year I seem to lust after the Clarins summer collection and finally this year I was like, no more lusting, I need! The packaging is beautiful, the product looks beautiful and I can’t wait to get bronzing!
While at the Clarins counter, the very lovely sales lady was like, if you buy something else you can get £7.50 worth of (Boots) points or something like that (let’s be honest, I was too distracted by all the pretty things) and with a nod from the Husband, I browsed more of the Clarins stand. I mentioned that I had seen a couple of people on Instagram wearing the Joli Rouge lipsticks. Usually when I pick out lipsticks, I like to go for fun colours rather than your simple nudes, and I mentioned to the sales assistant that the Clarins lipstick colours I had seen on Instagram were like a bright red but I couldn’t remember seeing a specific shade number or name mentioned. From this, she knew I was after the classic and original Joli Rouge (no. 742). I don’t yet have a proper, high quality classic red in my collection so I am delighted with this colour and looking forward to it making its debut.
A few weeks ago I posted about my Pandora charm collection (here), and I got the above new rose gold and crystal butterfly from my in-laws to add to my collection; it’s so cute!
For someone who used to wear earrings every single day, now I hardly ever seem to which is quite bizarre. Then I find when I do wear earrings, the quality of them seems to irritate me, so I take them out. But I don’t think you can go wrong with a classic pair of pearl earrings and there comes a time when they are the perfect present for many young women and my 29th birthday is the year to receive mine.
I treated myself to two presents this year, the first you saw the other day -my new TDS bomber jacket (here), and Fleur De Force’s new book, The Luxe Life. I haven’t got her first book but I love these type of lifestyle books and I can tell just from a quick flick through that this is a beautiful book and a lovely addition to my collection.
