What’s in my Handbag Summer Essentials | August Blogs

Hey Sweeties,

If you saw my recent haul post earlier this week (here), you’ll have seen that I have purchased a new handbag from Mango, which I am just in love with. I have only done a what’s in my handbag type post once before (here) which was ages ago now, so I figured this would be an excellent opportunity to take a closer look at my new purchase, and some of the essential things I carry around with me, particularly over the summer.  Here goes –

As you can see from the above photos, this handbag from Mango is quite a classic design but the zebra patterned panel on the front, and the chunky (plastic) chain handle gives it a certain edge that I really love. What I also love is that you can fit a ton of stuff inside and while I try not to carry around a lot of things, there are a few essentials I just can’t leave the house without. These are -hairbrush; tissues; face powder and brush; headphones; mirror; perfume; body spray; Worry Not (a spray to calm my anxiety); hand cream; anti bacterial hand wash; and deodorant.

As you guys know I suffer with (social) anxiety (more here) and while there isn’t really anything I can do to stop it, this Worry Not spray I find a real help to calm me down in times of high anxiety when nothing else is working. I have a post coming soon about my tips to deal with anxiety so do make sure you keep an eye out for it.

In the summer, although in the UK we don’t always get the hot weather we want, the summer months still find you getting warmer and so there’s more of a demand -for me particularly- to ensure I have some face powder to hand. I am not someone that touches up my makeup throughout the day but that mid-afternoon shininess during these months is a bit problematic sometimes, so a quick powder across my T-zone just keeps things in control. It doesn’t matter however what season we are in, I will always carry around anti-bac because particularly when I’m commuting in London, I just cannot deal with touching surfaces that multiple others have also touched. I don’t guess I am alone here!?

What are your handbag summer essentials?

Until next time x
