I was kindly recently sent some samples from the new plant-inspired natural shampoos* from AA Skincare.
AA Skincare is a new natural skincare range from Amphora Aromatics who have many years experience creating naturally effective products. The range combines essential oils with classic natural ingredients, and this is the first time I have tried any products from this brand.
AA Skincare Samples
I was kindly sent six samples of the AA Skincare shampoos to try and these were – Rose & Pomegranate; Peony, Bay & Brahmi; Rosemary, Sage & Burdock; Ala & Clary Sage; Cedarwood & Peppermint; and Ylang Ylang, Argan & Rosemary. Mostly the samples were suitable for all hair types, but a couple were for oily hair.
The first thing I experienced with the AA Skincare shampoos was the smell, they were all lightly and freshly scented. To apply, the shampoos were easy to massage into my scalp, and lathered nicely on contact with water.
Without trying the AA Skincare shampoos with the matching conditioners, I think it’s hard to truly judge them as for me, I always use a shampoo and conditioner from the same brand where possible. There was only one of the samples I tried (I forget which one, sorry) that did absolutely nothing for my hair and if anything, made it feel like I had applied a thick layer of grease to it, forcing me to wash my hair again the following day. That being said, for the most part I had a good experience with the shampoos and in the same way whereby I can identify how well my face and body responds to organic, cruelty-free skincare, I would like to explore more natural ingredient hair care also.
Do any of you use natural shampoo and conditioner? Would you recommend them?
Until next time x
