I don’t know about you, but I am definitely more of a shower person, than I am a bath person… although I do love a hot bubble bath! When I give myself the time to run a bath, I make sure I use products that will enable me to properly relax and enjoy the experience, such as essential oils (like these). However, when it comes to showers it’s not always so easy to find products that enable that luxury experience.
Dr Botanicals Coconut Oil Rejuvenating Body Exfoliating Bar
As regular readers will be aware, I love natural, organic (ideally 100% vegan) skincare and when it comes to luxury products, Dr Botanicals is the brand to get on your radar. A few months ago I reviewed a superfood facial oil and a Shea butter body cream, today I review for you the Dr Botanicals coconut oil rejuvenating body exfoliating bar*.
“Hydrate, Cleanse and Gently Exfoliate. Shredded coconut gently exfoliates the skin while coconut oil moisturises the skin and creamy coconut aroma works to unwind your mind.”
The packaging for the Dr Botanicals coconut oil rejuvenating body exfoliating bar, and even the product itself, is extremely simplistic… exactly what it needs to be. It’s like if Lush bath bombs actually had packaging, they would lose more than half of their appeal and if this body exfoliating bar was wrapped up in anything more than a cardboard box, it too, would lose most of its appeal. I love the recycled cardboard box packaging!
Of course this body exfoliating bar can be used in the bath as well as the shower, but personally I think it works best in the shower as you are best positioned to get the product lathered up and worked into your body. I love how creamy this product becomes as it exfoliates and moisturises my skin, it really is a fabulous product and I am definitely considering purchasing a couple of extra bars for my mum and mum-in-law for Christmas.
